This one-day session introduces you to the essentials needed to be an effective first time manager, including motivating and leading your team, team development, providing effective feedback and managing performance. It is suitable for those new to supervising staff and existing supervisors wanting to brush up on their skills and knowledge.
Communicating with your Customers – Thursday 17th January 2019, Sunderland
How well do you listen to your customers? This half day course covers key principles of good customer care, the impact of customer experience and expectations on your organisation, and the skills and knowledge essential for delivering excellent customer care, including verbal and non verbal communication, listening skills and assertiveness.
Introduction to Providing Housing Services - Thursday 7th February 2019, York
This one day course is ideal for those who are fairly new to housing, whether as an employee of a housing organisation, resident or board member. Topics covered include: the range of organisations providing housing in the UK, the characteristics of different tenures, the range of services provided and how housing is financed and regulated.
Tenancy Management Essentials for Frontline Staff – Thursday 7th March 2019, Newcastle
This one day course covers the essentials of tenancy management including the different tenancy types, landlord and tenant responsibilities, terminating tenancies, mutual exchanges, and dealing with abandoned properties. Latest legislation, guidance and good practice will be incorporated into the session.
Full day courses are 9.30 - 4pm and cost £109 per delegate ; half day courses cost £79 per delegate.
